A project my company has been working on, The New York City Streets Renaissance, just made it on WNYC!
The New York City Streets Renaissance campaign is a effort to make NYC’s streets more liveable. This means less cars, better bike lanes, more pedestrian walkways — cleaner air. We just made it onto the radio, and it was rather exciting to hear a project I’m involved with make news.
In a twenty minute radio stint, Brian Lehrer from WNYC interviewed our founder, Mark Gorton, along with DOT Commissioner Janette Sadik-Khan, talking about the NYC Streets Renaissance campaign and what it means to those who live and work in NYC. Although Brian Lehrer tried to stay on topic during the interview, things got a little crazy when Alec Baldwin called to offer his opinion about the Upper West Side! Listen to the full segment here.
The whole thing seemed a little odd and rushed, though it was likely a news event anyway. All in all, it was pretty exciting, and made for a great morning.
