    This occurred about 1:30 p.m. EDT on the 30th — not long ago. From what I’m told though, this is a recurring problem on a certain machine. And when the user presses the search button a second time, the expected results turn up.

    So my guess is this is either a configuration issue (something related to the configuration of the browser, the user, the user’s search history, etc.), or there’s some virus inserting results into the page. In the latter case, this wouldn’t bug. At least not in Google. ;)
